ABOUT.

Our founder, Jurg Meier travelled to Hong Kong from Switzerland in 1984, driven by his passion to share his artisan craft of Swiss chocolate with Asia. His innate positivity, symbolized by a hand-drawn smiling sun that he would ritualistically draw daily as a gesture of affection and love for his wife in Switzerland, allowed him to be resilient in the face of challenges towards achieving this goal. The sun gradually became a motif of love, passion, and happiness - the same emotions he would experience when crafting chocolate. Like a ray of sunshine from Switzerland, he aspires to share this brimming energy and positivity with everyone.
 
 
In 2008, Schoggi Meier was born. In the same year, the brand also opened the doors of its first shop in Macau, offering an impressive repertoire of high end chocolates, cakes, pastries and desserts. And until today, we run 4 shops in Macau & 1 online store (www.schoggimeier.com.mo).
 
 
Schoggi Meier’s sun shaped logo, designed and hand-drawn by Jurg Meier (affectionately known in the industry as “Schoggi” – meaning “chocolate” in Swiss German), now also embodies his enduring passion and innovation towards chocolate craftsmanship.
